Without Withdrawal, Without Life

Withdrawal has got to be the single most important event to occur in a drug rehabilitation center.  In these drug facility treatment centers, the nurses and doctors watch over patients as they painfully go through this long process of drug detoxSince entering the drug treatment center, the patient will no longer de introducing harmful chemicals into his or her bodily system.  However, the body has become accustomed to this drug so on a daily basis the body seeks the drug.  Since there is no drug to be found and the body is being denied what it wants, it begins to act out.  It is as if you were dehydrated.  The body is begging you for water but since there is no water around you have no other option but to deny it.  Therefore, one will experience headaches and allusions, right?  It is the same with withdrawal.  The patient will experience physical pains such as body and headaches, nausea, vomiting and weakness.  He or she will also experience mental withdrawal so he or she may begin to hallucinate and act as if he or she were still on drugs and withdrawal can also induce depression.  This process is not fun, it is not easy, and it certainly is not an overnight process.  Nevertheless, it is the only way to detox the patients body and ensure a better recovery.  This process can take up to months and sometimes years.  Depending on the severity of the drug abuse, this will determine approximately the amount of time that one will be experiencing symptoms of withdrawal.  This drug detoxification process can only occur at a drug rehabilitation center because when the body requests something, the person normally will go out and please it.  In a drug treatment center, it is impossible to satisfy the body.
